Expeditions - Cultural
Our cultural expeditions are journeys that focus mainly on bringing you into contact with indigenous people and cultures in many exciting environments around the world.
Some of the expeditions have an emphasis on learning skills from remote tribes, some are about immersing yourself in a completely different culture, and all are about meeting fascinating people in amazing and exotic locations.
We pride ourselves in our relationships with the many different people that we visit around the globe. Our expedition facilitators have spent years travelling to the most remote areas of this beautiful and diverse planet forging lifelong friendships and connections with some of the most fascinating people in the world. We feel privileged to be allowed access to areas where ‘tourists’ are rarely able to visit and to have gained the trust of the people in these areas, allowing us to share the experience of integrating yourself within these amazing cultures with our clients.
As a result of spending time with indigenous tribes and learning about struggles with land rights and sources of income Worldwild has set up the Indigenous Cultures Foundation. You can read about our goals and methods in assisting indigenous peoples to maintain their cultural identity and gain financial independence on our 'non-profit' page. A percentage of your booking fee on each of our cultural expeditions will be donated to the Indigenous Cultures Foundation or to the Indigenous Land Rights Fund who are also on our ‘non-profit’ page.
Namibia
This expedition is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn the tracking and traditional skills of the San bushmen. The adventure will culminate in a bushwalk in the wilderness, walking with our San guides, camping under the stars, and learning the skills that they have used for generations to survive off the land.
